What You Can Do Right Now to Defeat Trump

October 1, 2020 - November 3, 2020

Want to make sure Democrats take back the White House and the Senate this year? There are numerous opportunities to volunteer and some especially smart ways to donate as we head into the final weeks of election season. Take a look at the guide below, which is an adaptation of a blog post by Dave Margulius (posted here with his permission).

Where to give money right now:

Senate races
Best bang for the buck right now is giving to Gross (AK), Greenfield (IA), and Bullock (MT). Other great races to support are Cunningham (NC), Peters (MI), Ossoff and Warnock (GA), and Harrison (SC).
(quick donate to all)

House races that matter and will boost Biden/Harris GOTV
(quick donate) to 28 key swing-state house campaigns.

Targeted get-out-the-vote (GOTV) projects
These projects still need money:
New Georgia Project / Stand Up For Ohio / Texas Organizing Project / CASA in Action
America Votes’ field GOTV projects
(quick donate to all)

Swing-state statehouse races that will also boost Biden/Harris GOTV
Sister District’s nine strategic states (and anti-gerrymandering) effort.
Climate Cabinet’s top forty in presidential swing states.

Where to volunteer:

General: Check out Mobilize.us for a ton of volunteer opportunities by geography, interest and campaign.

Poll workers (crucial, huge need):  Make calls yourself to recruit poll workers in MI, OH, NC, AZ, WI, NV, FL. If you know people who could be poll workers, send them to Power to the Polls or Poll Hero.

Lawyers: Sign up with the Biden campaign and Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights (non-partisan).
